Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how CPPIDE (developed and published by Apptivize) handles information, app permissions, and third-party services in connection with our Android application and website.

1. Local Code Execution

CPPIDE is a local integrated development environment. All C and C++ source code writing, file editing, compilation, and shell terminal execution occur locally on your Android device. CPPIDE does not collect or upload your source code files or project contents.

2. Android App Permissions Used

CPPIDE requests the following device permissions to operate:

  • Storage Access (`MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE`, `READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE`, `WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE`): Required to allow you to open, save, edit, and compile source code files, CMake build scripts, Makefiles, and project workspace files on your device storage.
  • Internet Access (`INTERNET`): Required for network communications used by third-party services (such as analytics, crash reporting, ads, update checks) and when you choose to use network features like Git operations (`git clone`, `git push`, `git pull`).

3. Third-Party Software Development Kits (SDKs)

CPPIDE incorporates standard third-party SDKs to assist with application stability, performance measurement, advertisement delivery, and privacy consent:

  • Google Firebase Analytics (Google LLC): Collects anonymous usage statistics and basic user interaction metrics to help improve application performance. (Google Privacy Policy)
  • Google Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC): Collects crash reports, stack traces, and basic device state details when an application crash occurs to help debug issues.
  • Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) & User Messaging Platform (UMP): Used to display advertisements and manage user privacy consent preferences in applicable regions. (AdMob Privacy Policy)
  • Google Play In-App Updates: Used to check for and notify users about new application versions on the Google Play Store.

4. Free App Status & Pricing Modifications

CPPIDE is currently published and provided as a free application. Apptivize reserves the right to modify pricing, introduce paid features, or launch premium subscription tiers at any time, in its sole discretion, with or without prior notice.

5. Children's Privacy

CPPIDE does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.

6. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated Effective Date.
